Collage, sculpture, printmaking, and more—get ready for an exciting week of design exploration! The instructors will demonstrate several fun techniques in a variety of 2D and 3D materials and work with each student to help them convey their unique personality in their work. Kids—this is your big chance to express yourself and create some amazing art from the heart!

Understanding 'Media' in Art
In the art world, 'media' refers to both the types and materials of art. For example, sculpture and painting are different art forms, and materials like wire or watercolor paint are different artistic mediums. Mixed Media, involves combining various art forms and materials, offering a rich, multi-faceted creative experience.
The Rich Tapestry of Mixed Media

By providing an opportunity to experiment with a diverse range of materials and art forms, from printmaking and metalworking to fabric dying and assemblage, campers can quickly find their favorite ways to create. Projects and Possibilities
While the specific projects change each year, a glimpse into past activities reveals the camp's dynamic nature. One favorite was the marbled paper portraits, where students used shaving cream and dyes to create abstract backgrounds on which they then painted self-portraits with acrylics. The result? A unique and vibrant work of art!
